DORIS GILBERT ENLISTS EARLY IN AUXILIARY CORPS
- Among the first women to enlist in the new Women's Army Auxiliary
Corp was Miss Doris Gilbert, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Gilbert of
Larrabee. Miss Gilbert, who now resides in Los Angeles, CA, was
employed in the business office of the Cherokee Daily Times before
leaving Cherokee.
