Charles Ihle has arrived in New Guinea from the Hawaiian islands,
according to a cabled message received by his wife. Major Ihle is the
son of Dr. and Mrs. C. W. Ihle of Cleghorn. | | Lt.
Frank Maher, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Maher, Hollywood, Calif., former
Cherokeans, has returned to the United States after many months of
overseas duty. Lt. Maher wears the air medal, eight oak leaf clusters,
and a campaign ribbon. Pilot of a Flying Fortress, Lt. Maher flew 48

Farnham, son of rev. and Mrs. J. A. Farnham has been transferred
to Parris island, for recruit training preparatory to officer training
