- I have reason to believe that my G.G.Grandfather is burried in Lorah Cemetery. My Family and I
stopped by last week while on vacation to visit his grave, but found no evidence of him being there,
perhaps he had no stone to mark his grave. His name was Simon Lewis BAKER, buried April 4, 1895. If
you could verify this for me, I would be most grateful.

- LOGUE, LOUGE, PIERCE
posted by Cathy Porter Maynard on 10/29/98
- I am searching for information regarding the LOGUE family -- who resided in the Griswold, Cumberland,
and Atlantic Iowa areas. Goldie LOUGE (my maternal grandmother) was born on July 26, 1895. I am searching
for her ancestors. I am told that her father was named Oliver (with perhaps William as a middle or
first name?) LOGUE. I wish to be able to locate as much information Oliver Logue and Myrtle (PIERCE)
Logue as would be possible, so I can trace my roots... It is my understanding that Oliver LOGUE married
Myrtle PIERCE (spelling?) , and their children were: Goldie LOGUE, Gladys LOGUE, Halican (spelling?)
LOGUE, Esther LOGUE, Helen LOGUE, Donald LOGUE, Virgil LOGUE. I am told that Oliver LOGUE and siblings,
but only one name is recalled, that being John. I do not know where Oliver came from, but living relatives
state that he came from "out east". Any information that you could provide would be so very appreciated.
I thank you.
