SUMNER H. WHEATLEY, the third son, was born in Wisconsin in 1857 and married Fannie A. Henry there in 1876. He moved to Marne in the 1880's and hauled grain to Walnut to be ground into flour for sale in Marne. He operated the Marne House Hotel for a number of years at the turn of the century. Sumner and Fannie Wheatley had nine children - Gertrude, Daniel, Lester O., Nellis, Mabel, Pearl, Willie, Clyde and Flora.
