ANDREW TRIMMER

Red Rose Divider Bar

There was no other settlement [in Lincoln township following William Talbot's in 1868] until 1869, when Andrew Trimmer located on section 17, in November of that year, purchasing his farm of F. H. Whitney. He proceeded to erect a house, part of which now comprises his present residence, which was the third frame dwelling built in the township. He was born in New Jersey, in 1837 and came to Lincoln township from his native State. He was married in Warren county, New Jersey, to Susan Shields, a native of that county, who died in this township in 1876. He was married the second time to Amelia Miller, a native of New York.
