S. H. PERRY
S. H. Perry came here in 1866, and located on section 12, where he built a cabin and made some improvements. Henry McDermott now owns the land on which he settled. Perry staid [sic stayed] some five or six years, when he removed to Exira, Audubon county. On the death of his wife, which occurred sometime afterward, he returned to Pennsylvania, his native State.
