S. A. TEAL

S. A. Teal, manager of the railroad machine shops, at Missouri Valley, Ia., was born in Albany county, N. Y., in 1831. He was for a time engaged in the iron business at Zanesville, O.; moved to Chicago in 1853 and was employed as engineer for the C., B. & Q. R. R.; remained there four years; then came to Cass county, Ia.; thence to Council Bluffs, in 1861, and was engaged as manager of the iron works at that place; thence to this city in 1876 and engaged as manager of machine shops.
