Clara A. Ross Cain
16 August 1867 ---- 1 June 1952

Clara A., daughter of William and Lucy Ross, was born on August 16, 1857 at Ottawa, Ill., and passed away at her home after a lingering illness on June 1, 1952 having reached the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

As a girl she attended grade school and later high schools in Illinois. She taught school for many years following her graduation.

On December 28, 1905 at Cambridge, Illinois she was united in marriage to Bert Cain. They soon moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma and they resided there about five years. Then moving to Iowa in 1910 and settled on a farm in Dayton township, Wright county, Iowa. After seven years they moved to Eagle Grove and later to Illinois. In 1940 they returned to Eagle Grove and have lived here since that time.

She is survived by her husband, Bert, and other relatives.

She was a wonderful wife and friend to all who knew her. Her cherry smile and happy disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday June 4, 1952 at Wilson Chapel, Eagle Grove, Iowa, Rev. Stanley Bauchard of Goldfield, Iowa officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
