C. Carew died Saturday evening at his home in the south part of town where he resided with his sister, Miss Margaret Carew. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Loyal M. Wilkinson.

Obituary

Cornelius Carew, son of Michael and Margaret Carew, was born in Minonk, Illinois on June 15, 1860 and died in his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, on November 6, 1943 at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 22 days. Mr. Carew came to Iowa in 1912 with his sister, Margaret, who has made a home for him for 30 years.

He worked at the mason trade for many years but has been retired for the past 6 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by 10 brothers and sisters, his sister, Margaret, being the only family survivor.

Mr. Carew was a man of outstanding personal integrity and will be greatly missed by his neighbors and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral Home, and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery in the charge of Rev. Loyal M. Wilkinson.
