Mrs. Emma C. Barnes, 95, formerly of Chillicothe, died Oct. 5, Canon City, Colo. Her health had been failing for about four years and she had been seriously ill 10 days.

Mrs. Barnes was born in Madison, Wis, June 30, 1863, lived in Chillicothe and spent her last 23 years in Canon City. She was of Protestant faith. Her husband, Elmer Barnes, died in 1908.

Surviving are her children, Ray Herbert Barnes, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Marie Roper, Pueblo, Colo., and Mrs. Ruth B. Strait of city, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Lakeside cemetery at Canon City.
