Sophia Danielson Bellman

Dows - Another of the grand old pioneer mothers has been called from her earthly suffering to her eternal rest in that spiritual home not built with hands, eternal in the heavens, the past week.

Mrs. S. E. Bellman on Thursday felt badly and later she suffered a paralytic stroke, from the effect of which she never recovered. All of the children were sent for and all arrived before the end came, though she never regained consciousness and passed away early Saturday.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Sophia Danielson, was born in Sweden August 25, 1845 and passed away January 4, 1913 aged 67 years, 4 months and 9 days. She came to America in 1870 and settled at Superior, Michigan. In 1873 she was united in marriage to S. E. Bellman. The following year they came to Iowa and settled on what is known as the old Bellman homestead, three miles south of town, where four children were born to them. ... Dows Advocate
