Joseph Martin Jenkins
5 July 1847 --- 6 July 1936

Hampton - Funeral services for Joseph Martin Jenkins, 89, who died Monday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Nellie Grover, were held at the Grover home Wednesday and burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Dows. Mr. Jenkins was blind and helpless since suffering a stroke five years ago. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1847 and moved with his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Jenkins to Paw Paw, Illinois in 1856. He came to Iowa 25 years ago to make his home with his niece, Mrs. Grover. He was unmarried and the last of 11 children. No immediate relatives survive.
