Noah Eastman Thorn
3 May 1816 ---- 8 May 1895

Noah E. Thorn died in this city on Wednesday, May 8th, after quite an extended illness. The funeral was held at the residence the following day and was conducted by Rev. Radford after which the burial took place at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. T. was born in New Hampshire and was at the time of his death 79 years of age, having lived in this state for 87 years. He leaves a family of five children, three boys and two girls. Like the ripened stalk of grain he was ready to be cut down --having filled his mission.
