Marjorie Louise Schroeder DeNio
23 December 1897 ---- 25 June 1993

Funeral services for Marjorie Louise DeNio, 95, were held from the United Presbyterian Church in Dows Monday, June 28 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Susan L. DeNio and Stanley Watne officiated and burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Dows. Elledge Funeral Home of Dows was in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie died Friday, June 25, 1993 at Clarion Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. DeNio was born on the family farm in Vernon township, December 23, 1897 to Louis and Emma Chaplinski Schroeder. The family later moved to Dows where she attended the Dows schools.

On December 15, 1917 she was united in marriage to Allen T. DeNio. They moved to a farm near Galt where they lived their entire married life and where Marjorie continued to live after her husband died in December 1972.

Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Doris Gorman Kessler of Mt. Carroll, Illinois; two sons: Thurman E. of Lake Cornelia and Sun City, Arizona and Verl E. of rural Dows; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one grandson.
