Melinda Rachel Watson Knox
27 May 1870 ---- 20 March 1951

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Knox, 80, were held Friday at the Presbyterian Church at Dows. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Dows. She died at a hospital in Hampton Tuesday from injuries suffered following a fall three weeks ago.

Mrs. Knox was Rachel Watson, born May 27, 1870 at Spencer. She was married to James I. Knox March 15, 1888 at Dows and they lived on a farm near Dows until their retirement. She was a resident of Hampton the last seven years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1922 and one son.

Survivors are five sons: W. G. of Dows; H. J. of Pasadena, California; Robert of Iowa Falls; Clifford of Clark, South Dakota and Raymond of Cornell, Wisconsin and six daughters: Mrs. U. T. Walsh of Iowa Falls; Mrs. Frank Richards of Cornell, Wisconsin; Mrs. Pearl Grimes and Mrs. C. R. Clark both of Hampton; Mrs. E.E. Nyberg of Sioux City and Mrs. Raymond Kraft of Hackensack, Minnesota.
