Soneva Ovre
(February 1, 1826 – November 1913)

On Tuesday last the funeral of Mrs. Soneva Ovre, mother of Mrs. Arnold Mandt, was solemnized by Pastor Stoeve. Deceased was born in Norway, Feb. 1, 1826, therefore had reached the advanced age of nearly 88 years. She was baptized and confirmed in the old country, and married there to Mr. Ovre in 1866. In 1868 they came to the United States, settling first in Illinois; and two years later they came to Worth County, wherein they made their home till death claimed them. Mrs. Ovre, who has been in failing health for several years, died principally of the infirmities of age. She is survived by Mrs. Mandt and an only son, Mr. Erick Olson, whose home is in Moody County, S. D. Worth County Index, Northwood, Iowa, Thursday, December 4, 1913, 4
