NEGRO EMPLOYE OF JOURNAL DIES

Had Been Maintenance Man for Last 15 Years

Paul Tolson, 57, 1507 Hamilton Street, Negro maintenance man at The Journal building, died Tuesday afternoon in a hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks. had been employed at The Journal for 15 years.

Mr. Tolson was born July 24, 1884, in Howard County, Mo. He had lived in Sioux City since 1917.

Surviving are the widow, Susie; a son, Private John T., stationed at Camp Funston, Kansas; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Wilkinson of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, George of Sioux City and John of Kewanee, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Pickett of Springfield, Ill., and two grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Westcott - Doughty - Chandler funeral home.

Funeral services for Paul Tolson, 57, 1507 Hamilton Street, Negro maintenance man at The Journal building, who died Tuesday in a hospital following an illness of several weeks will be held at 2:30 p. m. today in the Westcott-Doughty-Chandler chapel.

Rev. O. J. Mullen, a retired minister, will officiate. Interment will be in Logan Park cemetery.
