6 March 2024Jill Thies ,54, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away peacefully Monday, February 26, 2024, at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa, surrounded by family.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Jill Marie was born May 3, 1969, in O’Neill, Nebraska. She attended school at St. Mary’s in O’Neill, Nebraska, and graduated with the class of 1987.
Jill and Dennis Mikkelson were united in marriage. To this union they had three children, Alex, Aaron, and Claire. Dennis later passed away in 2009. Later, Jill and Steven Thies were united in marriage on February 19, 2014, in Denison, Iowa.
Jill found joy and happiness in writing, drawing, listening to good tunes, and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Thies of Ute, Iowa; three children, Alex Mikkelson of Ute, Iowa, Aaron Mikkelson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Claire Mikkelson of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; and other various family members, and friends.
She is preceded in death her Husband, Dennis Mikkelson.
