Many acquaintances and friends in Winneshiek county, and especially the members of his old congregation in Springfield township, learn with regret that Rev. K. E. Bakken died last week at his home at Dennison, Minn. For many years Rev. Bakken was prominent locally in the United Lutheran church and just when his ability was beginning to be felt more fully throughout the church at large he was compelled by ill health to relinquish his labors. He was a man of many virtues and in his demise his family has much sympathy.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born July 24, 1861 and died Oct. 22, 1915. He is buried in the Vang Lutheran Cemetery in Dennison, MN
