Brought Home for Burial.
The remains of Mrs. Anna Nordheim-McDaniels were brought to Decorah last Friday morning from Oshkosh, Wis., and taken to Highlandville for burial. Old friends of Mrs. McDaniels remember her as a teacher in the schools of the county. Later she entered college work, teaching at Cedar Rapids. From there she went to Oshkosh eleven years ago and taught in the Oshkosh-Williams college. The deceased was born March 3, 1880, near Highlandville. She was married on Dec. 24, 1907, at Oshkosh, her husband being the proprietor of the school in which she is employed. Beside her husband she is survived by her son Wilbur, aged five years. Her death, which was due to tuberculosis, occurred on June 16th. The funeral was held Thursday at Oshkosh. Mrs. McDaniels was held in high esteem by all who knew her during her life in this community and the characteristics that endeared her to her old home friends drew about her many sincere admirers in her Wisconsin home.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in the Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery.
