The John Barrett family mourn the loss of their son and brother, Eddie, aged 19, who passed away the 19th at the home near Harmony, death resulting from pneumonia following influenza. The funeral was held on Monday at St. Kearns’{sic} Church. Father Tibeau officiating. On account of the death of their brother, Lieutenant W. J. Barrett was summoned from Long Island, N. Y., and John Barrett, of the Marines, from Quantico, Va. The mother and three of the children are also ill with influenza.

Eddie Barrett passed away Friday at the home of his parents from Spanish influenza. Burial was in the local cemetery Monday. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of the community.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan 5, 1898 and died Nov. 19, 1918. He is buried in St. Kierans Cemetery.
