Word was received from Garnavillo, Iowa, last Tuesday saying that William Allen passed away Tuesday morning after a short illness. The body is expected Thursday for burial in the Kendallville cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: The Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery shows his name spelled Allyn. He was born Dec. 28, 1828 and died July 9, 1917.
