Obituary—Herman F. Becker died Monday, April 9, at 12:30 o’clock He was formerly a resident of West Union but has been for the past year harnessmaker here. Mr. Becker was a traveling salesman for several years but was forced to give up this work on account of ill health. He was 36 years old. The deceased was married 10 years ago to Ella Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burrows Hughes, of Littleport. There were four children born, one dying in infancy two weeks ago. Services were held here at his home Tuesday, Rev. Shoemaker officiating, and in the afternoon, Mrs. Becker accompanied by two brothers-in-law left with the body for Littleport where the funeral was held on Wednesday from the home of Burrows Hughes. The body was interred in the Union cemetery there. The many friends extend their sympathy to Mrs. Becker and children in their bereavement.
