Grandpa Blackburn, a pioneer of these parts, was reported last week among the sick, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louis Schor, on the old homestead Sunday night. Funeral on Thursday. No further particulars.

Mrs. F. D. Sheets went to Ridgeway last Thursday to attend the funeral of her grandfather, Thos. Blackburn

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born May 5, 1830 and died Oct. 26, 1913. He is buried in the New Oregon Cemetery.
