THE SILENT REAPER.

OLE SMEDSRUD.
Ole Smedsrud, who has made his home in Decorah for many years, died Monday morning last after about a week’s illness from pneumonia. Mr. Smedsrud was born May 30, 1855, in Hadeland, Norway. He has been a resident of Winneshiek county since 1880, coming to Decorah in 1890, where he has since resided. He was married in 1894 to Ingebor Solstad and is survived by his wife and five children. The funeral was held yesterday, Rev. I. B. Torrison officiating, and interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows he died Feb. 17, 1913 and is buried in the Lutheran Decorah Cemetery.
