Grandma Strindmoen passed away yesterday afternoon after a lingering illness from dropsy. She was about 80 years of age, a highly respected and refined lady, and perhaps better known than any other person in this community, she having been present when a great many of our good people first saw the light, she having practiced as a midwife for many years. We are unable to give a full obituary at this time.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Olava Strinmoen. She was born in 1826 and died March 9, 1912. She is buried in the Highland Cemetery.
