Died at Jacksonville.
The remains of Hans Endustad, a young Norwegian who enlisted from Decorah in Co, I, 49th Iowa, were brought here for burial at Tuesday. He died from typhoid. Endustad had no relations in this country, but worked for a couple of years for Frank Sampson in Canoe township. The remains were escorted here by Charles Larson, of Madison township, another member of Co. I. The sons of veterans took charge of the funeral services, soldiers home on furlough acted as pall bearers, and Rev. H. G. Stub presided at the grave.
