—Ferdinand Goddard, one of the old residents of Jackson township, died at five o’clock yesterday morning from cancer. The funeral is to be held to-day at two o’clock.

Fort Atkinson Times:—At 5 o'clock Wednesday morning F. K. Goddard passed away at his home in Jackson township, after years of patient suffering from cancer. The deceased was 64 years of age at the time of his death. He came to this country in the early days, his parents were among the first to locate near Fort Atkinson, consequently he was well known all over the county, and was greatly respected for his honest, upright character. He leaves a wife, one son and five daughters to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at the residence and was conducted by Rev. Green, of Waucoma, a large number of relatives and friends attending.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Nov. 21, 1834 and died July 5, 1898. He is buried in the Waucoma Cemetery.
