Mr. John Winn died at his home, Saturday morning, June 18th, after a lingering sickness, in which he was a great sufferer. Mr. Winn was one of the old settlers, having come to Iowa in 1861, and has since resided here. Until recently he had lived on his farm east of town. The widow and seven children survive the husband and father, all of whom were present at the funeral except one son. The funeral was held from the M. E. church, the Rev. Wilson, of Decorah, officiating. The funeral was conducted by the Masonic fraternity, of which deceased has been a member many years. The relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of their large circle of friends in this, their hour of sad bereavement. We are not furnished with a biography of Mr. Winn.
