Another Old Resident Gone.
Mr. Edward Welch, more familiarly known as “Ned”, died on Monday morning last, after an illness of thirteen days resulting from an apoplectic attack on the 21st ult. He was in his 74th year, having been born in Queens Co., Ireland, in 1824. Twice married, he was the father of seven children, only one of whom (Mrs. W. J. Thomson) and his second wife, survive him. A stone mason by trade, industrious, intelligent and an enemy to none, Ned has passed peacefully to his last resting place.
