John Anderson, residing near Kendallville, died last Friday at the hospital from injuries received a couple of weeks previous from a falling hay pole which struck him on the head and neck. He was thought to be recovering, but was taken worse and brought to the hospital. He was 37 years of age, unmarried, and lived with his aged mother. He leaves three brothers and two sisters, Eric and Andrew, of Decorah, Albert of Brooklyn, N. Y., Mrs. Frank Moen, of Cresco and Mrs. John Ryggs, of Kendallville. The funeral was held Sunday at the Lutheran church north of Kendallville.

John Anderson was born on a farm near Kendallville, Winneshiek County, Iowa, September 28, 1876, where he continually resided until his death which occurred at the Mercy Hospital, Cresco, Iowa, August 8, 1913.
He was a devoted Christian, a good son and brother, and a friend to all that knew him.
He was always pleasant, accommodating, and very popular, and all mourn him as a dear friend.
He leaves to mourn his loss an aged mother, three brothers and two sisters, Erick and Andrew Anderson, of Decorah, Iowa, Albert Anderson, of Brook¬lyn, New York, Mrs. Frank Moen, of Cresco, Iowa, and Mrs. John Ryggs, of Kendallville, Iowa. His father and a brother preceded him to the Great Beyond.
The funeral was held Sunday, Aug. 10th, at the Fremont Lutheran Church, his pastor Rev. Rasmussen officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the church.
