Decorah- Funeral services for Mrs. Halvor Forde, 75, of Pleasant Township, were held here Monday afternoon at the Big Canoe Church. The Rev. T. O. Tolo, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Forde died Saturday morning at the home of her son, Joseph Forde, in Pleasant Township. She had been ill health for a long time.

As Johanna Mestad, she was born in Winneshiek County on May 6, 1861, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Haaken Mestad. She married Halvor Forde and the family lived on a farm in Pleasant Township.

Her husband survives along with their two sons, Peter and Joseph, both of Pleasant Township, and a daughter, Mrs. Bob Mirtiz
