Decorah, Iowa - -SPECIAL: Funeral services for Alfred Arneson, 52, were held Monday afternoon from the farm house to Big Canoe Lutheran Church. The Rev. William T. Hexom, pastor, officiated and burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Curtis and Alden Wennes, Orval Kittleson, and Emmett, Paul and Ralph Arneson.

Mr. Arneson died Thursday night in his sleep, the apparent victim of a heart attack.

He was born July 4, 1891, in Winneshiek County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Erick Arneson. He always lived in this county operating a farm in Highland Township.

He married Miss Julia Brunsvold, who survives with two children, Earl and Alta Jean, both at home, two brothers and a sister, Theodore of Highland Township, Martin of Pleasant Township and Mrs. Sever Skjervheim of Ryder, N. D.

A brother died several years ago.
