Harold F. Fisher, Burr Oak Township farmer, died June 12, 1979 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital at the age of 67.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 15 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Locust with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Gerhard Brasse officiated. Pallbearers were Raymond Hegtvedt Jr., Dennis Fisher, David Fisher, Daniel Fisher, Donald DeCou and Steve White. Mrs. Ransome Bolson was Organist and Mrs. Arlin Fisher was soloist. Arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.

Harold F. Fisher was born November 1, 1911 in Winneshiek County to Fred and Louise Fisher. He attended rural schools and was an overseas veteran of World War II. He belonged to the VFW and American Legion at Mabel, Minn. And the Odd Fellows Lodge in Decorah. Besides farming, Mr. Fisher also had done carpenter work.

Mr. Fisher had never married. He is survived by three brothers, Robert, Arlin and Norman Fisher, all of Decorah and a sister Doris (Mrs. Raymond Hegtvedt) of Rochester, Minn. His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
