Ida J. Reynolds
(1861 – July 14, 1940)Indianola Woman Passed Away at Long Beach, Calif., While On A Visit There
Services for Mrs. C. C. Reynolds who died Sunday in Long Beach, Calif., where she, with her sister, Mrs. William Buxton Jr., had been for the past three weeks, will be held Thursday, July 18, at 3:30 at the Overton Funeral Home. Mrs. Reynolds, in company with Mrs. Buxton, Mrs. A. V. Proudfoot and Mrs. Ola Anderson left Indianola June 26 for California, where they were expecting to spend several weeks. Mrs. Reynolds was in failing health at the time of her departure, but thought that the trip might be of benefit to her. She suffered a recurrence of indigestion, according to work received by Mr. Buxton, which caused her death. Mrs. Buxton, and her niece, Mrs. Jack Hardy, and her daughter Gloria of Hollywood, will accompany the body home. They will arrive at Ames Wednesday night about midnight. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by only one near relative, Mrs. Buxton. Her father was C. B. McLaughlin, station agent at the Rock Island depot for many years. [Ida J. McLaughlin was the wife of Clarence C. Reynolds, 1855-1932]
