(September 6, 1859 – May 27, 1940)

L. D. Griffen Dies At His Home Mon.
L. D. Griffen died at his home, 305 West First Avenue, Monday evening about 11:40 o’clock, following a heart attack, and services will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 2 o’clock at the Orr Funeral Home. The body will be sent to Pawnee, Okla., for burial. Mr. Griffen is survived by his widow. Mr. Griffen was a personal friend of Pawnee Bill, noted plainsman and Indian fighter.
