Sylva M. Mooney, 93, formerly of South Oak Towers, died at 6:10 p.m. May 30, 1984 in Sunnyslope Care Center.    She is survived by a son, M.V. "Buck" of Ottumwa Route 6; two daughters Cleora Riedel of Marble Falls, Texas, and Betty Hawes of Kansas City, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers Charles and John Canny of Ottumwa and Fred Canny of St. Joseph, MO.; and three sisters, Bertha Summers, Mary Groger and Helen Zesiger of Ottumwa.  The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. John Skillings of East End United Presbyterian Church Officiating.  Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Paul Mooney, Larry Sedore, Tom and Ron Hawes, Dean Peters and John Wallace.  The casket will be closed as the service begins.  The family will be at the funeral chapel from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today.  Memorials may be made in her name to the donor's choice.
