Patty N. Leinhauser, 83, died Feb. 10, 2014, at the Vista Woods Care Center. She was born in Ottumwa on Oct. 5, 1930, to Clyde and Arleva Ham Palmer. She married Joe Leinhauser in 1948 in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2009.Patty was a homemaker and a member of the Wapello County Historical Society and also was involved with the Genealogy Society. She is survived by her son Tom (Ann); two grandchildren, Julie (Mark) Ricardson and Katie Courtney. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Seth Richardson, Max Richardson, Connor Courtney, Brinley Woods; two brothers, Dean and Richard Palmer, both of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert. As were Patty's wishes, cremation has been accorded, and no formal services will be held. Shrine of Memories Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
