CENTERVILLE - Eva Maye Forbes, 88, of Centerville died Sept. 28, 1993, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville.

She was born April 25, 1905, in Sumner, Mo., to John and Elizabeth Elliott Underwood. She married Walter Benjamin Forbes on Dec. 22, 1923, in Centerville.

She worked for the telephone company for many years. She was a member of Dale Church.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Virginia Moffitt of Crawley, Colo., and Joyce Stufflebeem of Centerville; a son, Walter LaVerne of Frankenmuth, Mich; 12 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Dale Church north of Centerville, the Rev. Gerald Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville.
