Howard Duffy

Howard J. Duffy, 81, of Keokuk died Friday, Sept. 3, 1993, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

Born June 10, 1912, in Wilbern, Ill., he was the son of Charles H. and Winifred (Howard) Duffy. He married P. Popham October 15, 1954 in Kahoka, Mo. She died April 25, 1992.

He was a retired maintenance engineer at the Shrine Building in Des Moines. He had lived in Keokuk area the past 18 years.

He was a member of the New Testament Church in Keokuk.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Paul ("Mike") Zahn of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Patricia Rodenberg of Guttenberg; two sisters, Mrs. Winifred Long of Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Charla Ann Bole of Keosauqua and five grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and an infant sister.

The funeral for Mr. Duggy was a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison with Brother William Hauser presiding.

A memorial has been established for New Testament Christian Church.
