Ardath Deere

Ardath L. Deere, 65, Farmington, died Sunday, April 25, 1993, at Fort Madison Community.

He was born October 21, 1927, at Farmington, the son of Benjamin Frank and Garnet Johnson Deere. On June 21, 1947, he married Margaret Evans at Farmington. She survives.

Mr. Deere, a lifelong Farmington resident, was retired as the manager of the Burdman Auto Parts Store, Farmington.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael, Keokuk, and Russell, Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Patricia Wooten, Lakewood, Colorado; six grandchildren; and one brother, Forrest Deere, Fort Madison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 28, at 1:30 p.m. in the Farmington Baptist Church the Reverend Philip Schmidt officiated. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.

A memorial fund has been established for the Farmington EMTs or the Farmington Baptist Church.

Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of the arrangements.
