Edith Roberts

Services for Edith R. Roberts, 69, 407 S. 6th., Bellevue, was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kingery-Gallagher Funeral Home, Bellevue, with Reb.(err) Gwyn Osuch officiating. Burial was in Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Bellevue.

She was born Nov. 12, 1923 in Milton, daughter of Marion Luella (Johnson) Harman; she died Sunday morning, June 27, 1993, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

She attended and grew up in the Milton area and married Ralph E. Roberts on Sept. 26, 1941, in Kirksville, Mo.

Mrs. Roberts was the librarian at the Bellevue Public Library for 16 years until her retirement in 1984. She enjoyed working with the children at the library.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bellevue, and P.E.O. since 1963. She enjoyed traveling and reading.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Roberts of Dubuque; one daughter, Mrs. Michael J. (Rebecca) Hale of Ridgefield, Wash.; four grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Stanley E. (Ethel) Beggs of Bloomfield; one brother, Marion J. Harman of Ontario, Calif.

Memorials may be given to the P.E.O. Scholarship Fund.
