Wayne C. Nemmers

Wayne C. Nemmers, 78, of Twin City Manor Apartments in Douds died at 4 p.m. July 8, 1993 at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

He was born March 28, 1915, in Nashua to George and Kitty Mae James Nemmers. He lived in Fairfield until 1976, when he moved to Douds. He worked as a common laborer, doing tiling and construction work.

He is survived by two daughters, Georgia Mae Howard of Eldon and Marietta "Mary" Williams of Ottumwa; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Marietta Bork of Charles City and Doris Musgrave of Seattle, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tony.

The service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, 1993 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, the Rev. Jack Williams officiating.

Memorials may be made to the family or the donor's choice.
