Eugene J. Winslow

Eugene J. Winslow was born Sept. 28, 1911 in Keosauqua, Iowa, the son of William and Elizabeth Barker Winslow and died on January 19, 1989 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, at the age of 77 years, three months and 22 days. He graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1928. He married Dove Dow January 21, 1933 at Winterset, Iowa. he graduated from Still College of Osteopathic Medicine and interned at Des Moines General Hospital and opened his office at Stockport. After 18 years he entered a Residency program at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. After five years he moved to Davenport, remaining there 12 years before returning with the College. He held several different positions before retiring as Acting Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs.

He has made his home in Mt. Pleasant the last four years.

Surviving are his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Mable Muckler and Mrs. Gertrude O'Rourke, both of Bellflower, Calif. and four nieces and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd of Des Moines and Robert of Bonaparte, and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Storck of Des Moines and Wilda, an infant.

He was a member of all of his Professional Organizations, the Presbyterian Church, and Past Master and 50 year member of Masonic Lodge at Stockport.

Final resting place in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.
