George Friedmeyer, 75, of 409 S.E. Delaware, Ankeny, Iowa died August 11, 1989 at home.
He was born in St. Louis, Mo. and had lived in Ankeny for 32 years. He was a retired music teacher in the Ankeny music teacher in the Ankeny High School, served in the military, member of First United Methodist Church, Ankeny Lions Club and Ankeny Country Club.
Immediate survivor is his wife, Betty Manning Friedmeyer of Ankeny.
Services were held at 10:30 A.M. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Ankeny, Iowa. Graveside services were held at 3:30 P.M. August 14, 1989 at Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua.
Ankeny Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church and Ankeny Lions Club.
