George Tedrow

George Vern Tedrow, 78, of Fairfield Route 1 died June 6, 1988 at his home.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1909, at Douds to Joseph and Grace Camblin Tedrow. He worked at Dexter Company in Fairfield for 21 years, and was a retired farmer in Round Prairie Township. He was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church, and the American Legion. He married V. Lucille Cubbage on June 30, 1936, at Batavia.

He is survived by two sons, George Tedrow of Booneville, Mo., and Arthur Tedrow of Wever, Iowa; two daughters, Grace Chambers of Santa Fe, N.M., and Marilyn McCoy of Overland, Park, Kan.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, five brothers, Lloyd of Manning, N.D., Rayburn and Glenn of Fairfield, and Merle and Brice of Libertyville; and three sisters, Ellan Pearson of Libertyville, Bertha Ferrell of Hedrick and Zelda Manning of Fairfield.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 1988 at Behner Funeral Home of Fairfield, the Rev. Shirley Meendering officiating. Burial with military rites was in Mount Moriah Cemetery north-west of Douds. Memorials may be to the donor's choice.
