Sybil Tatman

Sybil Eva Tatman, 92, Ottumwa, died March 22 in Phoenix, Ariz. where she was spending the winter.

She was born Feb. 24, 1884 in Davis County to George and Martha Snodgrass Kays. She lived most of her life in Davis County and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

For the past three years she and her son had been living at 124 W. Fifth Street in Ottumwa during the summers and in Arizona in the Winter.

She married Clarence O. Tatman in Milton in February of 1905. He died in 1963.

Survivors include one son, George of Ottumwa, and one brother, Raymond Kays of Ellensburg, Wash.

The service was held Sunday at the Wagler Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Galen Peckham. Burial was in the Pulaski Cemetery.
