Paul R. Sparks

Paul R. Sparks, 80, route 2, Milton, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis County Hospital.

He was born Nov. 7, 1899 in Keokuk County to William and Iva Reed Sparks. A Van Buren County farmer, he was affiliated with the Delta Christian Church.

On Feb. 3, 1923, he married Blanche Moody in Oskaloosa. She survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Dorothy Heisdorffer of Keota, Betty Heisdorffer of Keota, Joy Shepherd of Delta, Beverly Blasi of Glenwood and Carol Ritz of Muscatine; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marvel Hensley of Mountain Home, Ark. and Adda Sanders of Kalistell, Mont.; and two brothers, Lowell Sparks of West Plains, Mo. and Don Sparks of Prairie City.

He was preceded in death by two daughters and one son in infancy.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield.
