ETTA MAY RUSSELL

Etta May Russell, daughter of William G. and Amanda C. McEldowney, was born April 15, 1892, at Granger, Mo., and departed this life on Tuesday, December 19, 1972, in the home of her daughter in Keokuk, Iowa, at the home of her daughter in Keokuk, Iowa, at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage in the year 1910 to Scott Brookhart who pheceded(err) her in death in 1911. To this union one daughter was born, Zelma B. Hodges of Keokuk, Iowa. On March 11, 1917, she was united in marriage to W.H. Creath Russell who preceded her in death in 1956. To this union two children were born: Alfred E. Russell of Marceline, Mo. and Marian I. Russell of Chicago, Ill.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are 2 daughters and one son; a son-in-law, one daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren; 6 greatgrand children; two brothers, George McEldowney of Cantril, Iowa; Henry R. McEldowney of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Metta Sullivan of Bloomfield, Iowa; Mrs. Myra Newlon of Cantril, Iowa; Mrs. Edna Bishop of Keosauqua, Ia.; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held in the Milton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Church officiating under the direction of Wellborn Funeral Home on Friday, December 22, 1972, at 11 A.M. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
