1963FATHER, SON BURIED TODAY AT BONAPARTE
BONAPARTE - Last rites were held at the Church of the Nazarene at Farmington this afternoon for a father and son who died two days apart.
The Revs. Walter Smith and Robert Swanson conducted services for Mr. George G. Randolph, 85, and Mr. Gerald Randolph, 52.
The son died Saturday at Kirksville, Mo.
The father died Monday noon at a hospital in Ames.
Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.
Lived With Daughter
The elder Randolph was a retired farmer who spent practically all of his life in the Bonaparte community. Recently he had been living at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edith Van Voorhiss, at Ames.
Also surviving are a son, George Paul Randolph, of Wilton Junction; a sister, Mrs. Eva Rosoland, Keithsburg, Ill.; five grandchildren, and several half-brothers and half-sisters. Two brothers and three sisters died previously.
Mr. Randolph was born near Bentonsport on June 29, 1877, the son of John and Lydia Huff Randolph. He was married to Claudia Moore at Mt. Zion on Dec. 29, 1909. She died in October of 1951.
